Please be informed that Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) will extend the initiative to ease the compliance burden faced by the corporate community during the economic uncertainties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic by providing an extension of time (EOT) of 90 days for companies to hold annual general meeting (AGM), circulate financial statements and subsequently lodge the financial statements to SSM. This extension of time is applicable to companies having financial year end beginning 1 April 2020 to 31 July 2020.
The application must be submitted to SSM by 31 March 2021 by email to eot2021@ssm.com.my pursuant to Practice Directive No. 6/2020 (Revised 27 January 2021).
