Please be informed that the Registration of Businesses (Amendment) (No. 2) 2020 Rules [P.U.(A)140/2020] has come into force with effect from 7 May 2020 to amend the Registration of Businesses Rules 1957.
The provisions amended are Rule 13 and Rule 13A of the Business Registration Rules 1957 to require online businesses to display the name and registration number on the website, any of the social media platforms and the online marketplace. The amendment also clarifies that if the online business does not have a permanent or physical place of business, the residential address of the business owner is deemed to be the business address.
