A. About e-Secretary

What is e-Secretary?

e-Secretary is an online application provided by SSM for registration to act as a secretary which is a requirement under section 241 of the Companies Act 2016.
  • Upon approval of the application, practising certificate will be issued by SSM and the particulars of the approved applicant will be entered in the Register of Secretaries.
  • The application is accessible via https://esecretary.ssm.com.my/ for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.​

  • Application for renewal of practicing certificate of secretary;
  • Change particular of secretary; and
    • ​Residential address
    • Contact information (Phone No., Mobile No., or E-mail Address)
    • Company secretary office information
  • ​Change qualification of secretary.
Other services:

  • To check status of the application;
  • To answer and reply the queries that have been issued by SSM; and
  • To download the Practising Certificate of Secretary after the application is approved.

Important Notes

  • Please avoid copy and paste any information that required to be key in in the system.
  • Application for renewal of Practicing Certificate (PC) shall be made not less than 30 days before the expiry date of PC.
  • CPE points for renewal of practicing certificate (PC) must be collected during the validity period of PC.
