FEDERAL CONSTITUTION (MODIFICATION OF LAWS) (ORDINANCES AND PROCLAMATIONS) ORDER, 1958




Order 2. Modifications.

(1) The modifications specified in the fourth column of the Schedule to this Order, being modifications which appear to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to be necessary or expedient for the purpose of bringing the provisions of existing law into accord with the provisions of the Constitution, shall be made in the written laws specified opposite thereto in the first and second columns of the said Schedule or, as the case may be, in the provisions of the said laws specified in the third column of the said Schedule and appropriate modifications shall be made in the marginal notes to the provisions specified in the third column.

(2) Subsidiary legislation made under any of the written laws modified by the said Schedule shall, in the absence of any specific provisions in such Schedule, be read with such corresponding alterations as to names or titles as may be necessary to bring such subsidiary legislation into accord with the law under which it is made as so modified.
