Requirement To Apply For Company Secretary License

An applicant must be 18 years old and above;
An applicant shall be a citizen or permanent resident in Malaysia who shall ordinarily reside in Malaysia by having a principal place of residence in Malaysia;
An applicant shall not be an undischarged bankrupt;
An applicant shall not be convicted whether in or outside Malaysia of any offence referred to in section 198 of the Companies Act 2016;
An applicant shall not be convicted whether in or outside Malaysia of any offence involving fraud or dishonesty punishable on conviction with imprisonment for three months or more; and
An applicant shall not have any pending legal action against him under any provision of the Companies Act 2016 or the law specified in the First Schedule of the Companies Act 2016.
